Is My Webcam Working?
Click Allow and see your camera feed instantly. This test displays live video, reports resolution and FPS, and lets you record clips for playback — all processed locally via the MediaDevices API with zero data uploads.
This test verifies your webcam is functional by displaying a live preview and reporting the actual resolution and frame rate your camera delivers.
Most webcams support 720p (1280x720) at 30 FPS minimum; 4K webcams output 3840x2160 at up to 30 FPS.

What Do Your Results Mean?
| Result | Range | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| Good | 1080p+ at 30 FPS | Your webcam delivers HD video suitable for video calls and streaming. |
| Warning | 720p or FPS 15–29 | Functional but limited — acceptable for basic calls, may appear choppy in low light. |
| Bad | Below 720p or FPS under 15 | Image quality is poor. Check USB connection, lighting, or consider upgrading your camera. |
